Garth Brooks once said to me

Well, I did not give up my dream.

Leavin' Lubbock is the second compilation of my original music on a CD this last year. I once wrote in my high school yearbook "When words fail, music speaks." I still believe those words today, as many times I have found it easier to express my feelings about someone or something in a song. Who would have thought that I would be writing those same words again 18 years later on my first album (A Lot of Lonely Highway)

And now, in 2004, I have a new CD out! Against the Wind. Please click on the title to read more about it.

Dedication:

I have chosen to dedicate "A Lot of Lonely Highway" to all the truckers out there, and those who must spend a lot of time away from someone they really care for. Sometimes we all get so busy with our jobs and other responsibilities, that we do not stop to realize how that might affect other people in our lives. I wrote that song while driving home from Medical School in Kansas City on Interstate 80 East. I hope the words to this song might hit home with some of you!

Leavin’ Lubbock

Dedication:

Personal and family issues in the past have made me realize more than ever the importance of trying to live each day to its fullest, and never giving up on your dreams!

“Leavin’ Lubbock” is dedicated to my father and my mother, who both went through the toughest times in their lives together. My father became critically ill, and for a time I was certain that I would never be able to see him ever again, or tell him so many things I have always wanted to say. This was so difficult for me to deal with. Ironically, at about the same time he was ill, I was completing the groundwork for this CD.
